Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Mangia mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Mangia is a recipe management application that allows users to:

• Import and save recipes from various sources
• Track pantry inventory
• Generate grocery lists
• Plan meals
• Use hands-free cooking mode

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the App, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account

4. User Content

You retain ownership of any recipes, notes, or other content you create or import into the App ("User Content"). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

You are responsible for ensuring that any content you import does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.

5. Subscription & Payments

Mangia offers both free and premium subscription tiers:

• Free tier: Limited to 10 saved recipes with basic features
• Premium tier: Unlimited recipes and full feature access

Pricing

• Monthly (Mangia Pro Monthly): $4.99/month, billed monthly
• Yearly (Mangia Pro Annual): $29.99/year, billed annually — includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers

Free Trial

New subscribers to the yearly plan are eligible for a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged until the free trial period ends. You may cancel at any time during the trial period without being charged.

Billing

Premium subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store. By subscribing, you agree to their payment terms. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will continue to have access to premium features until the end of your paid period.

Refunds are handled according to Apple's refund policy.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the App or servers
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use automated means to access the App without permission
• Share your account credentials with others

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and content (excluding User Content), is owned by Mangia and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our express written permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Defects will be corrected
• The App is free of viruses or harmful components
• Recipe information imported from third-party sources is accurate

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MANGIA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the App will immediately cease
• You may request export of your data within 30 days
• We may delete your data after 30 days

11. Account Deletion

You may permanently delete your account at any time by navigating to Account → Delete Account within the app. Deletion will permanently remove all your data — recipes, pantry items, grocery lists, meal plans, and household associations — and cannot be undone.

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active App Store subscription. You must cancel your subscription separately through iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions before or after deleting your account to avoid future charges.

If you are unable to access the app, you may also request account deletion by emailing support@mangia.app.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
